We put young people and their potential at the heart of our vision. Not just because they’re the leaders of tomorrow, but because we believe they’re a powerful force for change today.

Aims & Objectives

  • Ensure JLGB youth provision is available in every UK Jewish community – internationally where possible.

  • Organise subsidised local, regional and national activities, events and camps.

  • Enable every eligible Jewish child to achieve their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award if they want to.

  • Empower young Jewish people through accredited leadership development and skills training to enhance their employment potential. 

  • Establish regional music provision to teach young Jewish people to play musical instruments and provide outlets for performance.

  • Facilitate volunteering opportunities through social action, intergenerational and inter-faith programmes.

  • Recruit and develop young and adult volunteers to inspire, train, coach and mentor young Jewish people to reach their potential.

  • Create extra provision for children with additional needs and increase our bursary fund for disadvantaged families.

  • Provide a social networking platform for alumni, as a source of skills, knowledge and contact for potential volunteer leaders, donors and legacy givers.

  • Achieve sustainable funding: create an endowment fund so that our objectives are realised without total dependence on government or other grant funding.
