Watch Now!

Tonight, all the way from Hollywood, we are joined by actor, author and activist Jamie Lee Curtis, and her husband screenwriter, composer, musician, director, actor, and comedy legend Christopher Guest.

Both really need no introduction, but they of course, absolutely deserve one, in true JLGB Virtual style!

Jamie Lee Curtis is a BAFTA and Golden Globe winner who got her first big break at acting in 1978 when she won the role of Laurie Strode in Halloween and has undoubtedly earned the title of America’s “Queen of Scream”, reprising her role in many of the Halloween franchise movies. You will know her for starring in countless hit films, comedies and family favourites such as Trading Places, True Lies, Freaky Friday, A Fish Called Wanda and Knives Out! Her parents were of course, also Hollywood royalty, Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh. Jamie is also a children’s author and activist with leadership roles with both the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the Children affected by Aids Foundation.

Christopher Guest, is American–British and best known for writing, composing, acting and directing many comedy cult-classics including: This Is Spinal TapWaiting for Guffman, A Mighty Wind, Best in Show, For your Consideration and most recently for Netflix, the hilarious, ‘MascotsChristopher received his dramatic arts training at New York City's High School of Arts and Music and at Bard College, he plays several instruments and was even a cast member of Saturday Night Live.

But it is Christopher’s connection to JLGB, that you may not know, and brings us full circle, as we mark 125 years of JLGB. Christopher inherited the formal title of the 5th Baron, Lord Haden-Guest, of Great Saling, in the County of Essexfrom his late father (a UN Diplomat) in 1996and is actually the great-grandson of Colonel Albert E. W. Goldsmid M.V.O. the very man who founded the JLGB in 1895So we have a lot to thank him for!

We are so privileged that both Jamie and Christopher have found the time to speak to us this evening, despite their busy schedule… so without further ado, Ladies and Gentlemen, LIVE all the way from the U.S of A., please welcome tonight’s incredibly special guests…Jamie Lee Curtis and Christopher Guest!!!

For 125 years, young Jewish people have been discovering just how brilliant they can be and how they can make the world a better place through JLGB. Whether you're 8 or 18, whatever you want to be, join in and be your best self with us!
